"This is an exceptional program for both students and Civil War buffs, worthy to be shelved alongside filmmaker Ken Burns' acclaimed The Civil War (1990)."

The March to Save America's History:

Preservation March 2006
Oct. 27, 28 & 29 2006

Washington, D.C. -- Authentic Civil War reenactors will be raising money, through donations, from sponsors for the preservation of the battlefields at Fredericksburg, Virginia; Franklin, Tennessee; and Unison, Virginia.

All funds should be generated through checks, or money orders written out to The Central Virginia Battlefields Trust, or CVBT, a 501©3 non-profit organization. CVBT has agreed to disperse the funds as: CVBT retaining 40% of the funds generated for their contribution to the effort to save 200 acres at Fredericksburg. The remaining funds will be split with 40% of the total going to Franklin's Charge (also a 501©3), and the remaining 20% going to the Unison Preservation Society in Loudoun County, Virginia, another non-profit.

Visit CWReenactors.com/preservation2006 to see how you can help save battlefields from being bulldozed.
