Welcome to Wide Awake Films' online store!
Wide Awake Films specializes in high-quality, historically-accurate documentaries. Since 1991, our
award-winning production team has traveled across the United States filming large-scale re-enactments
and producing original, award-winning Civil War documentaries. Wide Awake Films boasts some of the most
technically and creatively skilled videographers, editors, writers and creative professionals in the country.
Blending our historical foundation with a seasoned grasp of technology, we craft each film with precision and
vivid realism. We strive to create visually compelling stories of the past and to capture the spirit of
each battle. We've built a network of experts—historians, preservationists, and re-enactors—whose input
and support are paramount to our success.
We've produced such films as
Bad Blood: The Border War that Triggered the Civil War,
The Battle of Franklin: Five Hours in the Valley of Death, and
Spotsylvania Courthouse: The Clash of Grant and Lee at the Crossroads.
Our projects have appeared on the History Channel, PBS, CBS, TNT, A&E, and the National Geographic Channel,
among others.
Wide Awake Films actively supports Civil War battlefield land preservation by donating a portion of our proceeds
to preservation efforts.
